West Hood River Valley

Open Space and Large Homes
Open Space and Large Homes

The west side of the Hood River Valley is a mix of residential and small farm acreage.  Most of the "mini-farms" are still intact throughout this area and many are still being maintained as hobby farms.  Horses, cows, sheep, and the occasional chicken are still a common site out here.  There are even a few orchards mixed in, although not nearly as many as the East Hood River Valley.  Some of the land has been sold off to developers, but strict zoning has limited the density.  Most homes are well spaced and preserve the open feel of this part of the Valley.

Most properties have at least partial views of Mt. Adams in Washington and are still only 10 minutes from the downtown area.  If this sounds ideal and that it might be expensive to own here.....it generally is. However, some of the properties have not been kept up as well as others and the infrequent 'deal' can still be had.
