The Lakecliff Bed and Breakfast is located at the west end of Hood River and is beautifully placed on the cliffs overlooking the Columbia River Gorge. This historic home was built on a rare 3 acres in 1908 and was originally used as a summer home. The buildings and property have been extensively renovated of course and offer a very comfortable environment without losing the feel of the original home.
Some of the charms include wood-boxed beams, a huge rock fireplace, spacious guest rooms, and absolutely spectacular views. Enjoy your breakfast with river views from just about anywhere in the house. Each room is distinct in decoration and has its own private bath. The owners understand the needs of the traveler and have a refrigerator stocked with cold water and room for your personal wine of choice in the glass encased atrium. The dining room is also adorned with a grand fireplace and the open room makes for a great place for conversation with other guests. There is a rear deck to sit and sip wine after a day of exploring the wine country of Hood River as well.
Not everyone is cut out to run a bed and Breakfast, however the hosts at Lakecliff are both knowledgeable and friendly. They will get you on your way to a great weekend with tips on local attractions, events, and dinning. The grounds have been designed with weddings and events in mind. Mature landscaping and winding paths lead to a lawn, and again, breathtaking river views. Work with the Lakecliff Bed and Breakfast to plan your entire wedding, or just come to rest up.
